Como ganar con un mal juego. By Steve.

HOW TO WIN UGLY
FC CARTAGENA - 1 SANGONERA CF - 0
BY STEVE HIBBERD

At the end of the day a win, is a win, is a win, and the victorious team go home 3 points better off than at the start of the match, whether they have played good football or not!
This was very much the case at Cartagonova Stadium last Sunday, when Cartagena defeated a previously undefeated Murcian rivals Sangonera side, with a late winner. Manager Fabri choose to make 3 changes from last weeks draw against Vecindario. Out went Tato, Falco and the suspended Addison, to be replaced by Armando, Carmona and Juan Pablo. In a seriously scrappy game of football, in which both sides were poor, new boy Armando (recently signed from Levente and making his debut), had the only real chance of the 1st half, when he shot tamely at the keeper, following a Carmona free kick.
Unfortunately, the 2nd half wasn´t much better. Sangonera had a good opportunity on 57 mins, when Belda was through on goal, but fortunately, his effort hit the side netting. The winner on 84 mins was a well worked goal. Following a good build up, Nano crossed to the far post, where Carmona was waiting to firmly head into the back of the net. Miki Roque was the only Cartagena player to receive a yellow card, whilst 4 Alfaro players went into the refs notebook. As Real Madrid 'B' could only draw their match, Cartagena have now cut their lead at the top to a single point.
