Un ex del Chelsea firma por el Cartagena. By Steve.

EX CHELSEA STAR SIGNS FOR CARTAGENA
BY STEVE HIBBERD

Many top names have been linked with a move to Cartagena, so it must be pleasing for boss JIM to have made a major coup with his latest aquisition. Signed from local rivals Real Murcia, 31 year old Enrique De Lucas will bring flair and experience to the midfield department. De Lucas started his career at his home town club Espanol, before moving to Chelsea, then Alaves.
Contrary to reports stating that FC Cartagena had lost a pre season friendly against Almeria 10-0 (those Torry fans will write anything to make their club look good!), Cartagena had their first pre season run out last Wednesday. Played at La Manga Club Hyatt, manager JIM was more than satisfied, as his new look squad run out 2-0 winners over 3rd div Cartagena-La Union. Juan Pablo scored on the stroke of half time, only to be replaced in the 2nd half by trialist Garavano, who also got on the scoresheet after 80 mins.
Another pre season friendly has been added to the list. On Saturday 15 August, ko 8.30pm, Cartagena vist the El Morao Stadium to play newly promoted, div 2b side Caravaca.
