Buenas y malas noticias. By Steve.

GOOD AND BAD NEWS
BY STEVE HIBBERD

As pre season training draws ever near, Cartagenas squad has now reached double figures. Coach JIM has succeeded in bringing experienced 32 year old central defender Clavero to the club. Signing from Tenerife, Clavero has also played both premier and div 2a football with Osasuna, Real Murcia and Numancia. Another 2 of last seasons squad have also put pen to paper, making those now signed on to 10. Goalkeeper Castilla, and striker Juan Pablo have sorted out previous difficulties over pay (or lack of it!), joining captain Mario Sanchez by staying put.

Now for the bad news. Long term main club sponsor Relesa, have pulled the plug, leaving Presidente Paco Gomez and his staff to find a suitable replacement. Last seasons most valuable player, Carmona, has sadly decided to join fellow div 2a side Recreativo Huelva, and will be sorely missed. Another key player last season was Nano. He obviously impressed Cadiz greatly during the 2 championship decider matches, for he has now signed for the Andalucian based side.

  1. I don´t understand because Carmona has gone to Huelva. Cartagena is better than Huelva, most beautiful. Good, I live in Roda, near from San Javier. I meet some english people who like football too. How can we be fans of FC Cartagena? How much is it? Help you!!!
