Los Albinegros should have been awarded a penalty in the 1st half, but the ref adjudged that Huelva's keeper got the ball before bringing down Keko. In the 2nd half, it was Huelva who should have got a spot kick for a clear handball, but once again the ref was unimpressed. Huelva took the lead on the hour mark, courtesy of a fierce drive by Acuna, which somehow found a gap through a crowded penalty area.

Twelve mins later, direct from a corner, Lamas rose high to plant an unstoppable header past a shell shocked Casilla, for goal no 2. Only the post denied Huelva extending their lead, before Dani beat the offside trap to shoot past Casilla on the stroke of full time.
