El Cartagena necesita ser un equipo de verdad. By Steve.

CARTAGENA NEED TO GET REAL
REAL JAEN - 2 FC CARTAGENA - 0
BY STEVE HIBBERD

Two nightmare goals knocked the stuffing out of a rusty looking Cartagena side, who put in possibly their worst display of the season.
The week started brightly with the announcement that Los Albinegros has made 2 new signings, with a promise of 2 more to arrive during the week. Defender Rocha has arrived from Villareal 'B', whilst front man Koeman joins the club from div 2a side Salamanca. A midweek 2-0 victory over Anderlecht of Belgium, in a friendly at La Manga Club, gave a boost to manager Pichi Lucas in his quest to gain a promotion slot. But when it really mattered in the league, his side failed to deliver. Jaen scored in the 24th and 76th mins, and never at any time looked to be troubled, by a totally ineffective Cartagena side. Amazingly, for Spanish football, referee Perez chose not to book a single player from either side. Defeat at Jaen leaves Cartagena in 9th position, although they are still only 4 points off Merida who currently occupy the last play off slot.
